Reheating 7 Monks Like You Mean It
The 7 Monks Kitchen · June 2026

Thank you for ordering from 7 Monks Café! We aim to bring you an authentic experience even after the takeout bag has been opened. Here's how we'd reheat each dish at home — straight from our kitchen.
Starters
Chicken Tikka Meatballs, Pakora, Samosa & Queso
- Heat in a glass microwave-safe container till hot.
- Our 7 Monks plastic containers are microwave-safe — just pop them in.
Fries — the most important part of this whole post
- Move to a microwave-safe plate (aluminum trays are not microwave-safe).
- Better yet, revive them in a skillet:
- Heat a dry skillet until hot.
- Toss the fries in and stir occasionally.
- Do not add extra oil — that's the trap. Extra oil = soggy fries.
Papad
- Enjoy as is. That's the whole instruction.
Curries & Classics
- Heat in a glass microwave-safe container till hot.
- Our curry plastic containers are microwave-safe.
- Our rice containers are microwave-safe too.
Naan — the napkin trick
- Sprinkle a few drops of water on the naan (this is the move).
- Microwave 45 seconds to 1 minute, OR
- Stove top: heat a dry skillet, place the naan, flip after 1 minute, serve once both sides are warm.
Platters & Wraps & Bowls
For Platters, Wraps, and Bowls — same principle:
- Heat the protein in a microwave-safe container until hot.
- For wraps: open it face-up on a plate, heat the protein side.
- For platters: heat the protein, rice, and naan; leave the cold elements alone.
- Do not heat the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, or dressing. They're meant to stay crisp and bright.
Sandwiches
- Heat in oven or toaster oven until warm — make sure the cheese melts.
- Keep the lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles off the heat.
